A mosquito pool in North Central San Antonio has tested positive for the West Nile virus, the city’s first such positive test for the 2025 season, Metropolitan Health District officials confirmed Monday. The sample was collected near the intersection of West Avenue and Blanco Road, and Metro Health is scheduled to treat the area at 3 a.m. Wednesday, according to officials.
