Early Career
Bonnie Hernandez has been an on air radio personality for the almost 28 years. She started as a teenager on Que Pasa 99.5 and has been voted several times as the Valley’s favorite Deejay. Her radio show was heard world wide thru the internet. She has her very own day named after her in her Hometown Donna, Texas where she was the reining queen Miss Donna in 89, 90, & 91. Over 30,000 people have come to her hometown to celebrate “Bonnie Day”. She is considered the Oprah of the air waves. After 18 years on Que Pasa 99.5 and dominating the air waves with the highest ratings, she went on to work for Super Tejano 102.1 FM in Mc Allen for almost 5 ½ years and surpassed the rating goals there as well.
KLMO 98.9 FM We are San Antonio
In 2020, her dream came true to work for radio in San Antonio, Texas. She is the on-air talent for KLMO 98.9 FM with Lopez Broadcasting, Monday through Friday starting at 1pm to 3pm. She is also on-air radio talent for the Lopez Broadcasting family in Victoria, Texas on Majic 95.9 FM and has worked for their station in Corpus Christi Majic 104.9 FM. You can hear her radio shows in those cities, but also world wide in several ways such as on the App and Alexa.
Accomplishments
She was humbled when she won Best On Air Radio Personality in 2021. She was also chosen to be the cohost for TMA TV for the Tejano Music Awards Television Show.
